This course reviews thyroid cancer epidemiology, risk stratification, imaging and therapy guidelines including indications, challenges and controversies for both adult and pediatric patients. At the end of the course, participants will have an approach to imaging and therapy in patients with thyroid cancer and will be aware of current challenges and controversies including the available data used to address them. Goals and Objectives:

  • Demonstrate the limitations of guidelines in thyroid cancer, and develop a patient specific method.
  • Discuss the ATA and NCCN guidelines for thyroid cancer.
