Target Audience:

Statement of Need:
This comprehensive syllabus will focus exclusively on how to avoid misdiagnosis in a wide spectrum of pitfalls, variants, and pseudolesions according to current evidence-based appropriateness criteria, and will incorporate practical and cutting edge reviews given by leading national experts across a range of applications, including hepatic imaging, genitourinary and gastrointestinal conditions, obstetrics and gynecology, neuroradiology, chest/cardiac imaging, breast imaging, musculoskeletal, and pediatrics. Topics will be practical, emphasizing real-life clinical scenarios and will provide tips and tricks to optimize study performance and interpretation, and ultimately enhance care provision by adding value to patient management.

Goals and Objectives:
After completing the material in this article, the learner should be able to:
  1. Identify and characterize relevant incidental findings.
  2. List differential diagnoses, when necessary, and suggest the best management strategy.
  3. Apply practice-based strategies for optimizing patient outcomes.
