Background
Pediatric imaging is common in the emergent setting, and it is crucial for radiologists to recognize and diagnose emergent findings and distinguish them from common mimickers of pathology. Nontraumatic pediatric radiology emergencies include a broad range of conditions, and attention to clinical history is key to making the correct diagnosis.

Educational Goals / Teaching Points
The goal of this exhibit is to provide a system-based approach to urgent findings in pediatric radiology, familiarize readers with the spectrum of nontraumatic pediatric emergencies, describe the typical imaging findings, and show representative cases.

Key Anatomic/Physiologic Issues and Imaging Findings/Techniques
This educational exhibit will present urgent findings in pediatric radiology in a case-based review. The cases will include pediatric emergencies in the chest, including airway emergencies, pneumomediastinum, pneumothoraces, pneumonia, and other infections. Additional cases will include pneumoperitoneum, appendicitis, volvulus, and vascular abnormalities, amongst other imaging findings. Several quiz cases will be included at the end of the exhibit.

Conclusion
Imaging plays a key role in the diagnosis of many emergent conditions in pediatrics, and radiologists must be familiar with the typical imaging findings of each condition. Understanding and recognizing emergent pediatric imaging findings will allow radiologists to assist in making treatment decisions in the pediatric population.
