Background
The focus of this exhibit is pathologies with colon involvement assessed by different imaging methods.

Educational Goals / Teaching Points
The goals of this exhibit are to review the different entities affecting the colon and describe the findings visualized in different imaging methods, mainly CT, double contrast barium colon enema, and ultrasound.

Key Anatomic/Physiologic Issues and Imaging Findings/Techniques
We will review the spectrum of pathologies affecting the colon and their main characteristics in imaging studies, differentiating four major groups (infectious, inflammatory, tumor, and other pathologies) assessed in different imaging methods, mainly CT, colon enema, and ultrasound.

Conclusion
The different imaging methods used to evaluate intestinal involvement allow radiologists to identify the specific characteristics of the cause, evaluate its extension, and notice the associated complications and the degree of severity in order to approach treatment.
